Cultural Conflicts

Nancy L. Cohen, Eric Deggans, Erin Aubrey Kaplan and Karen Elise Sternheimer talked about contemporary cultural issues and responded to questions from the audience. Erin Aubry Kaplan moderates.

Nancy L. Cohen
Nancy L. Cohen is an author, historian, and political commentator who is recognized as a leading national expert on women and American politics. She authored Delirium: How the Sexual Counterrevolution is Polarizing America. Nancy has been a guest on "Up with Chris Hayes", "Ed Schultz Show", and on NPR, WNYC, and SiriusXM. She has written for the Los Angeles Times, New Republic, Playboy, the Guardian, RollingStone.com.


Eric Deggans
Eric Deggans is a TV, media and music critic for the Tampa Bay Times. Eric has been a guest on National Public Radio and has written for the National Sports Journalism Center at Indiana University.

Erin Aubrey Kaplan
Erin Aubrey Kaplan is a writer and journalist and is currently an editor and columnist for the Los Angeles Times. Erin has written for LA Weekly, New Times Los Angeles, Salon.com, Essence, Black Enterprise, BlackAmericaWeb, Ms. and the Independent.
