Capitalism Hits the Fan

Richard Wolff and David Barsamian talk about the economic crisis and argue that it can be traced back to the 1970s, when the economic system shifted from benefiting a vast majority of Americans to one which mostly benefits only the very rich.

Richard Wolff is professor emeritus of economics at the University of Massachusetts and a visiting professor at the New School University. He is the author of Capitalism Hits the Fan and Democracy at Work.

David Barsamian is founder and director of Alternative Radio. His books include Targeting Iran, The Decline and Fall of Public Broadcasting, and Keeping the Rabble in Line.
