From United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark on Dec. 15, 2009

Matthew England, Corinne Le Quéré, Stephen Schneider, Richard Somerville, authors of the landmark 2009 climate report "The Copenhagen Diagnosis" estimate that by 2020 industrial nations must reduce their greenhouse gas emissions by around 40 per cent below 1990 levels to avoid dangerous human interference with the climate system.
